Fitness Garage is a newly opened gym in North Sheffield, that has “opened its doors to fine tune performance” for all abilities, whether you’re just starting out on the fitness treadmill to fitness fanatics and athletes.
Making fitness fun, at Fitness Garage you can have your own personal trainer known as a body mechanic, work out in the gym, otherwise known as the body shop and join classes such as:
- pit stop (Pilates and yoga)
- MOT (motivated organised training – i.e. group personal training)
- rev it up (spinning)
- spare tyre (core and abs workout)
- jump start (plyometrics and bodyweight)
- turbo charge (kettlebells)and

Facilities in this 5000sq ft venue are amazing and include a 30 metre astro turf run, boxing ring, functional rig, climbing ropes and Wattbike. Darren and Gemma Woodhead
Fitness Garage has been set up by husband and wife Darren and Gemma Woodhead, both bringing their own unique set of skills. Darren’s background is with the military and he’s currently working as an international bodyguard for a high-profile client. Gemma has been fitness training since a young age with experience in fitness and gym management.
They are joined by a team of experienced, dedicated professionals, each specialising in their own field and all fully trained in the latest thinking in body conditioning.

The Service Bays at Fitness Garage offer sports massage, hairdressing, spray tanning and nail services to ensure you leave your pit stop here, glowing from the inside out!
Take a moment to refuel after your workout in the gym’s Cafe Bar or if it’s a little retail therapy you’re after there’s a selection of sportswear and fitness boosting foods to tempt you – Battle Oaks Flapjack bars, chia seeds and of course, Lucy Bee Coconut Oil to name but a few.
“We want to create a community feel with a non-intimidating,friendly atmosphere – somewhere that is not just for superhumans!” says Darren.“We’re incredibly proud of what we have already achieved but this is just the beginning.
